About the Danish Property Assessment Agency

We are responsible for assessing the public value of 1.7 million owner-occupied homes and 0.5 million other properties in Denmark.

All individuals and businesses should have confidence in how their properties are taxed, and it is vital to us that every case is handled responsibly, thoroughly and transparently.

To obtain as precise and uniform assessments as possible, we base our assessments on a solid data basis. However, the value at which properties are assessed is influenced by numerous factors and is subject to market uncertainty. Making informed assessments therefore requires good assessment models and highly specialised staff.

The Property Assessment Agency has 630 staff based in Roskilde, Maribo, Haderslev, Herning and Aalborg.

Together with the other agencies under the Ministry of Taxation, we ensure effective and fair financing of the public sector.
